⁂ Magical/occult/eldritch buds. While Johanna herself is a normal human, she's well-read on esoteric topics and will take such things in stride. She's interested and curious about occult stuff she doesn't already know and will want to poke, prod, and pry.
⁂ Abrasive CR! Johanna's kind of a dick and she very likely thinks she knows better than you. I'm not actively looking for, like, "now we are become nemeses," though I'm not averse to things developing that way. But snarky sniping, competitiveness, arguments? Yes pls.

⁂ Jo is doing a lot of theorizing right now but she hasn't figured out a way to test or explore any of her theories. Maybe instead of trying to avoid the next thing that's obviously going be A Bad Time, she'll actively chase after it, since trying to avoid it didn't work at Halloween? So lmk if your character wants to do something stupid like that!
⁂ I LOVE writing occult, made-up magic bullshit, and Johanna is becoming interested in learning magic from other people and potentially teaching other people basic ritual magic.
⁂ I want to do something with the fact that supplies are starting to reset less frequently. Some bartering, maybe?
HANDWAVED CR: Johanna has been getting increasingly nocturnal as a result of a) trauma-induced insomnia and b) hanging out with local spooky folks, so characters who wander around the City after midnight can definitely have seen her/met her/exchanged some polite words with her while she just like. Walks around like a film noir detective bein' broody. She probably also has stopped by the bookstore a few times to trade some stories.

This is something he's going to slowly explore before he decides leaving the offer open, but he will only take on one. Personal problems mean that he's concerned about actually being a good teacher or not.
- He's working on an actual clinic building along with a somewhat mobile office with Kaveh's help.
- has a bunch of skin bibles from his world now that he is NOT happy about. these skin bibles contain information on gods from his world and rituals for them.
- reluctantly trying to figure out how to make food besides sandwiches (YES HE CAN MAKE SANDWICHES, KAVEH)

Hob is kind and friendly, so consider him easily approachable. He works in London as a history professor these days but has had a wide range of professions in the past, not all of which he's proud of. Now that he's in the city, he's tried to help out some where he can, including volunteering to work at the cafe that welcomes new visitors and patrolling/exploring the area. He resides in an apartment near city hall with his best friend, Dream of the Endless. Presently, he's potentially dating an Asgardian god? It's a lot for a pretty normal guy.

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: "Rather than a person who hurts others, become the person getting hurt. A kind person finds happiness in just that". This is what kaneki learned from his mother and he follows this. He is incredibly kind, gentle, he is shy and also awkward, very quiet and doesn't speak his mind. Tends to be selfless, doesn't have much confidence in himself and sees himself as weak, but even so he is trying hard to become stronger in order to protect the ones he loves. AND THEN HE WAS TURNED INTO A GHOUL who are cannibal people from kaneki's canon. They can only consume humans and look that... sucks a lot. Kaneki hates that ghoul part, but above all, he is SCARED of the ghoul part. He has to balance the fact that he is now forced to do something terrible and goes against what his mother taught him, and the fact that ghouls aren't the monsters he was also taught to believe. Though some still are and everything is a mess. Kaneki's life is full of suffering.

CR YOU WANT/PLOTTING & PLANS: Basically, kaneki has a lot of trauma going on and he is a sad boy who tries his hardest to be kind and gentle towards e v e r y o n e. He is very VERY lonely too, and while he has a hard time connecting to other people, he just wants to be loved. So honestly, FRIENDS. CR. PARENTAL FIGURES. CONNECTION. I'm open to positive and negative cr, and look even people who secretly hate him that's cool too! He will keep it a secret that he likes to munch on people, but totes up for that be found out eventually.

He's also a millennial and a college dropout who studied bitcoin? Whatever that means?? Mostly, he is just some guy who likes movies and hanging out and cracking open a cold one and being the hero and saving his friends, but that last one sucked both times, actually. He's very cynical about That despite it all but his cynical shell is easy to crack... Here in the city he keeps trying to Solve Mysteries but also sometimes do things like have Art Club and etc. He set his username as his own name on day 1 and hasn't changed it despite complaining that he should have changed it. What a guy.

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: "A girl searching for her missing mother. Going by rumors that a woman looking like her mother has been seen there, she heads to the infamous suicide spot Mt. Hikami and is spirited away. She has had a strong sixth sense since she was 3 years old, and can see ghosts, as well as the hearts of the people she touches, leading to those around her avoiding her. She's been raised with a great sense of isolation. She is currently a young, prospect-filled actress, pursuing a career in the entertainment industry by appearing in TV shows and doing gravure work.

She's also what's known as a yomiko/Shadowborn-- born "half-dead," she's the offspring of a living mother and a ghost father."

CR YOU WANT: Friends! Maybe eventually...a crush?? Miu doesn't know what to do with feelings and has varying worrying views on romance, so you know. That'd be fun! Or someone to get a crush on her, which she would have no idea what to do about.

But really I just like Miu interacting with people. Supernatural beings or people who can pick up on her not being quite human herself are a plus.

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: Ayana used to be an idol until a terrible accident made her fear of men skyrocket to astronomical proportions. She's terrified of men, to the point that her typical reaction is to shove/punch them away and then run screaming from them.

She ended up stuck in a Virtual Reality called Mobius, overseen by a vocaloid Virtudoll named Mu. While at first Ayana saw everyone as women and was happy to be brainwashed and living in a women-utopia, going to perpetual high school, she started to remember things from her real life that caused her perception of the world to break and show it for what it really was. Since then she's joined the Go-Home Club to find a way to break out of Mobius and get back to the real world.

She's also been trying to get over her fear of men and HAS toned it back some by the point she's at in the story, and IS getting over her initial "hit and run screaming" reaction (though there's no guarantees if men get too close), but she's still terrified of them.

As for the guy himself, he's... pretty cool and chill! Maybe too chill to the point of apathy, but that's how it be! He works as a lowly Fixer (mercenary, basically) in a dystopian cyberpunk world known as the City (haha), and he's usually the guy who provides exposition about that world and the culture in it. Seriously, he's such a nondescript NPC, but he's pretty open about a lot of things for the most part. But he is a Project Moon protag at the end of the day so there's definitely something about him...

And then was accidentally resurrected a century or so later through the power of ~memes~. Yes he's a creepypasta now, no he doesn't want to talk about it. Mostly trying to figure out his place in the world and cautiously exploring the concept of self-definition. Very tired. Sometimes a cat, sometimes a person, always kind of awkward.

An absolute peacock, loud former circus performer and mostly fake fortune teller, Molly is here to have a good time and not think about consequences. Hedonistic flirt, absolute pain in the ass, surprisingly kind, and looking to make the world a better place one small act at a time.

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: Emet-Selch is one of fourteen representatives of his world's governing body, his duties being those that involve the Underworld (ie. aetherial sea or afterlife) and his ability to see souls. He's a powerful mage (or was before the power nerf) and spends much of his free time wrangling his two gremlin friends. At first meeting, he can be quite prickly and grumpy, but one will soon learn that he's a rather sentimental sort who will cave to the whims of others if he feels the issue warrants his attention (and if others ask nicely enough). He's passionate about theatre, magicks, good literature and long naps in the park.

CR YOU WANT: Friends, acquaintances, and collaborators first and foremost. I'm also open to negative and "it's complicated" varieties of CR. Fortunately he comes from a canonpoint where he doesn't look down on the future denizens of his world, but has quite complicated feelings about his civilization's supposed fate. That being said, he's naturally curious about persons from other worlds and if your character is well-versed in magic or academics, or even just generally pleasant to be around, there's a good chance for some positive CR. He seems to be a magnet for gremlins as well. Also I'd really love for him to meet the people from the IC triple-meme post that spoke to Hythlodaeus pretending to be him and either allow chaos to ensue or see how long it takes everyone to realize this isn't the guy they were talking to at all.

PLOTTING & PLANS: I'm still a bit backdated at the moment but would love to get involved in others' plots! Emet-Selch is at a place where he has acknowledged the truth about his world's future, but is not quite willing to just sit around and do nothing to prevent it. In that way, he may wish to learn more about other worlds' magic systems, how other people overcame similar calamities, and to join up with others to unravel why The City is the way it is. He finds the lack of live animals and the lack of aether unsettling.

If you're interested in backdated threads, I had a few ideas from past events that I never got around to, particularly from Halloween in which Emet-Selch's costume would have been that of Solus zos Galvus and the ghosts he encountered might seem to him to be the dead spirits of those he'll eventually come to do wrong by in his future.

For something a little less heavy, he (like Hythlodaeus) will be experimenting with more modern clothing (I'm thinking long coats and suit + tie ultimately) and looking to pick up some practical skills since his magic is...less than stellar at the moment. Consider this the in-game version of Custom Deliveries if your character is inclined to introduce a grumpy old man to the wonderful world of City Fashion.

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: Shinji's a teenager who's had a rough go of things. He accidentally got someone killed once and literally could not cope; he dropped out of school, became homeless, and started making deals for sketchy drugs to suppress his Persona so it could never happen again. He's extremely depressed and withdrawn and has basically stopped living his life for the last couple of years, passively suicidal at best. Still, he has a few remaining comforts--he loves dogs, and he enjoys cooking. He also, despite himself, really cares about everyone around him and is kind of a huge mother hen.

One point of note is that Shinjiro's charcter arc deals with themes of depression and suicial ideation and behavior, specifically connected to his powers and a person he accidentally killed a couple years ago. He's a very private person in general and heavily reluctant to discuss the topic in particular, so it's unlikely to be relevant in most threads, but it might come up in bracket text or in his overall attitude toward himself. Please let me know if you'd like me to avoid these topics in threading with him, and I'll skirt around them as much as possible. ♥

He's probably gonna at least volunteer at the Welcome Diner because cooking is something he's actually good at, and start poking his nose into the attempts to figure out what's up with the town and how to get out -- which he's avoided to now since he is Super Dead, but his friends are not, so the town mysterious have reluctantly become his business after all.

He acts pretty gentle and can come across as passive since his leadership style resolves around listening and fairness, but he is also a battle-tested swordsman that can rip silk apart with his bare hands. He's a student of a musical school of fantasy martial arts that uses instruments for energy manipulation, so he can do a little of his unrealistic level of qigong.

A pretty optimistic young guy, Yuji is now determined to do whatever it takes to end Sukuna, even if that means giving up his own life. He's optimistic, dedicated, a self-confessed idiot and a genuinely lovely guy. Like some of the other JJKs here, Yuji is now used to having cursed energy, but since he doesn't have Sukuna with him those powers are pretty much gone, so he'll be struggling with that. Otherwise, he's weirdly strong, ridiculously fast for a human and can take a beating for far, far longer than is possible for a regular guy. Why? We don't know!

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: lestat needs no introduction, but here's one anyway: he's *The* Vampire Lestat. he's over two centuries old but you'd never guess because he makes a point of being "aesthetically relevant" (his words, not mine). he's an extravagant, loud, charismatic and ultimately hedonistic young man who knows darn well how hot he is and can and will use it to his advantage. he likes to drink blood - needs to in order to survive, but he likes it, too - and be morally ambiguous; he also likes to look at art, listen to music, make music (see, rock star career mentioned above), dance, fill his house with expensive things, and... humans. he loves humans. thinks they're fascinating.

CR YOU WANT:

- people to drink from! lestat is a vampire and naturally he drinks blood, but he's a bit of a snob who refuses to drink the blood supplied to him by the city. SO he needs a regular supply of humans who don't mind him having a sip every so often.
lestat has good self control, so he won't kill you, he just might drain a few pints and leave you sleepy for a few days. he can also drink in a manner that has the human unaware he's done it if your char wouldn't permit him to do it.
when lestat drinks the result is very blissful, unlike any other human feeling, and he sees visions of memory from whoever he drinks from, so he can find a lot out about your char without the need for much conversation... which can lead to some interesting (or horrifying!!!) CR!
- people to be obsessed with! lestat falls in love very easily, and for a vampire love can mean anything from 'i want to know every thought in your brain' to 'i want to drain you like a juice box' so anyone to take lestat's eye would be subject to him being very not normal and quite intense about you.
- people with strong morals! if you've got an Opinion on what's good and what's bad, he'd be interested in hearing it. lestat is currently on his own voyage of self discovery and doesn't actually get to talk to humans about their perspective very often, so it would be cool for him to have some debates.
- like-minded people! lestat is enthusiastic and is pretty self-serving. he spends most of his canon having everyone sigh and roll their eyes at him and his - frankly, terrible - ideas which is GREAT but also, i'd like for him to meet someone who can meet his level of annoying dog with a stick and make it worse. sorry louis.
- introverts/people who need some guidance lestat canonly gravitates toward people who need a little more excitement in their lives. he also has a habit of adopting kids/people in need. it's a very weird white knight complex but it's there. if your character needs pulling out of a rut or an excuse to be invited to things/dragged on capers, he is The Guy For That.

CR YOU DON'T WANT: we love all types here. if anyone wants negative CR with him, it's extraordinarily easy to be annoyed by lestat. it's also pretty simple to make him the bad guy of any situation, so if you need someone to generally cause havoc, here he is.

heine was a test tube baby in an underground lab, grown from specially-selected dna strands to become an incredibly powerful bioweapon! he heals quick, can't die, is stronger and faster than any average human, and has an implant in his spine that gives him a berserker split personality he refers to as "the dog." he does not play super well with others but is slowly working on it now that he's in a place where he doesn't have to live under the shadow of the wacko scientist who made him.

he does come with some content warnings in general: canon-typical violence and gore, suicidal ideation, mention of suicide attempts, unethical human experimentation, cruelty to children. i always try to warn when possible, but his permissions page linked below acts as an opt-out/in for those who would like more specifics.

HANDWAVED CR: i'm always happy to handwave the introductory stuff and just assume our characters met somewhere! heine has been around since july and while he isn't an especially sociable dude, he does get out and about sometimes. we can super easily figure out a place he might have run into your character! recent haunts include:

the welcome diner where he somewhat reluctantly moves stuff around monthly bc daniel larusso is his dad now

the haunted house, where he spent a lot of time in the second and third floors trying to help people get thru it

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: the patronizing librarian of the floor of philosophy! she's in her retirement era, but she will stay in her lane and backseat drive because she's kind of insufferable and annoying like that. member of the big happy family of librarians that y'all might've met already, but her conditions are a little different than the others. a little too chill, perhaps. weird. an old sadist, definitely committed war crimes, and now she's out here having quaint little tea parties. what a kind and reassuring elder..

✦   first things first, its easy for people to dislike her, especially if they've grown familiar with the city that the lobco/ruinas/limbuses are from. i dont mind the consequences of that, and neither does she. she basically was one of the ones that perpetuated the conditions that caused people to get to This Point to begin with, so Not Positive CR is a definite possibility if yours gives a shit about any of them. like, it does require knowing who she was prior (either from any of the others who Know Her, or from herself), and what that Means, but. i'm open to it, jsyk.

HANDWAVED CR: i don't mind if people encounter her in the wild. she'd likely be trying every goddamned teahouse in the city until she settles on one she likes the vibes of. you'll probably see her around the cemetery as well, staring at nonsensical words etched on a gravestone......... or being fucked up enough to dig a few of them out. sorry. curiosity. will that count as a crime. probably. maybe handcuffed binah in the future because the woman really was out here desecrating graves for science.
