Welcome to the November OOC Introduction & CR Building post! Use the form below to introduce yourself as well as your character(s) to the others in the game. Note that top levels can be for ALL players, new and existing, regardless of when you were accepted into the game.
Please note that the code can be tailored to your needs - feel free to remove anything you don’t wish to fill out! For example, existing players who do not have a new character for this round are welcome to remove introductory sections if they don't wish to re-introduce themselves and their characters.

ABOUT YOU: Hello, I am Tea and I'm in EST time. I work overnight reception for an ER vet plus some day hours so my tagging is irregular, but I will always backtag.
I'm into everything horror and folklore, especially youkai and fae. I like tabletop games, random anime (mostly cooking or supernatural themed), wuxia and xianxia stories, and puzzle games. I also do tarot/oracle readings and crafty things.

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: Lan Xichen is polite, reserved, and friendly outwardly, but also has a pretty good passive aggressive streak, can be a stubborn shit, and currently because of canon is kind of in the middle of an emotional crisis where he's reached his Retail Timer and is done with just about everything. He acts pretty gentle and can come across as passive since his leadership style resolves around listening and fairness, but he is also a battle-tested swordsman that can rip silk apart with his bare hands. He's a student of a musical school of fantasy martial arts that uses instruments for energy manipulation, so he can do a little of his unrealistic level of qigong.

CR YOU WANT:
CR that will challenge him. I like cute friendships that make him think and push him outside his comfort zone, rivals or people to argue with him, people to annoy or tease with, pretty much any of that.
CR YOU DON'T WANT:
I'm not really looking for simple ships. Xichen to me is like the home school kid that hits college not knowing what he wants and ends up dating half his dorm, and I'd love to explore him as a disaster. I don't mind ships if they happen, but I'm leaning toward messy.
PLOTTING & PLANS: He's trying very hard to be a pristine gentleman and still angry over the haunted house activities, so I'd love to have people engage with him over that and either help him work through some frustrations or annoy him even more.
HANDWAVED CR: He is likely to continue doing small things like checking in on people once he's close to them, so if you'd like something in that vein to be handwaved I'm happy to coordinate with you. He spends a good deal of time at the restaurants and park to relax.
ANYTHING ELSE: He is a constantly struggling big brother just trying to do good and also suffering from being too horny.

Abe no Seimei
AGE: around 1,000, appears to be in his mid 20s
CANON: original
CANON POINT: Modern times, after basically causing the human skepticism against all supernatural occurrences and beings
ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: Friendly, too chatty, and kind of lazy, Seimei is an immortal magic user who broke the world at one point and now is both famous and notorious for his past career nonsense. He used to be one of the emperor's best onmyouji and a celestial fox often sent as an envoy by various gods, but he used his connections to split the supernatural realms from the human realm, which did not go over super well.
Seimei in modern times still technically sees himself as an onmyouji whose job is helping people (and supernatural beings), but he has a hang up about involvement and "solves" it by trying not to take anything seriously and pretending he can't do as much magic as he can. He means well and tries to help people where he can, and he's also part-kitsune, so feeling guilty does not in fact stop him from fucking around and finding out. Lesson only partially learned.

CR YOU WANT:
Partners in crime! Especially other magic users or supernatural beings. Or people who would recognize his youkai or onmyouji vibes. People to chat philosophy and urban legends with, because he's all about learning more supernatural stories. People that can force him into being somewhat serious or will encourage honesty out of him or help him waffle between his own humanity and being a youkai.
CR YOU DON'T WANT:
None, really. I'm open to pretty much anyone that will CR with trash fox, in a good or bad way.
PLOTTING & PLANS: He definitely wants to experiment more with magic shenanigans like attempted rituals and summonings, aiming to call in spirits or call out to gods either hidden within or existing beyond the city. I'd love people to help him fuck around and find out, maybe causing trouble with other magic user characters or just bothering them.
HANDWAVED CR: He routinely goes throughout the city pretty constantly hitting up every location looking for changes or clues. It's very likely for characters to see him in the same places repeatedly, and he also has a problem with staying in one place consistently. He especially loves the graveyard and also will likely leave gifts for established CR if he thinks they might need them such as snacks or moral support souvenirs.
ANYTHING ELSE: His normal job basically consists of maintaining the balance between the spirit world and human world, which mostly consists of problem solving or mediator for conflicts either by negotiation or magical force, but he's also a lazy menace.
