Stress test update!
Hello hello! With this network post going up, I just wanted to update everyone to make sure we're on the same page and cool with the details.
On the 12th, with some forewarning given about the test, people involved with the stress test will be targeting buildings in the different districts to varying levels, depending on what resources they have available (bombs, powers, etc -- for the larger building blowers, if you imagine that it will be possible to bring down a building in each district with careful planning, etc, then let me know. 😎) Also a train may be targeted. Loki??
Empty buildings will be target for the larger damage, while more specific buildings may be roughed up without intentionally targeting resources or places of resident interests (but maybe some of us want to see how certain university/science centre offices fix themselves, OK).
I BELIEVE... we have enough people willing to do damage to cause a freak out to the repair system to make it lag (please look here to see what I mean!). Please comment here to double-check we're all aboard, choo choo. 😎 you don't need to to join in, it's just helpful to know!!
I'll put up a log on the 12th if people would like to have this in all one space!! otherwise, happy explodin'.

Stress testing the city
Hello! Back in December, particularly around the discussion of the info shared about a previous iteration, a subject came up about both testing the repair limits of the city simulation, but also to see if there were any particular spots that didn't repair well, on the off hand there were locations that didn't trigger people getting caught for their actions, and/or maybe had any unusual effects if the city hiccuped. People are trying to find game secrets, here.
December is a busy time for people IRL and it's safe to assume that people would have handwaved participation during the diner meeting, and maybe characters would have been interested in this but players wouldn't have known about it! This post is for that, and for people to share what level of destruction they plan to get into, in doing a very scientific testing. B)
The mods have shared that some information on the repair functions can be found out, with some cordinated effort.( Read more... )
How much damage a character is willing to commit and get in trouble for is, of course, up to them! And this is a good place for discussing that, as well as if people not involved getting to notice this and be like hey, what the heckie, etc. Would your character want to be involved? Is your character involved? And what would they be willing to do to achieve this?
Of course, this doesn't have to end up resulting in anything if the above isn't achieved. But this is a good place for talking about it. 🙏
EDIT: Plans/Ideas thus far!

HELLO CHAPS, are you like me and inclined to hyperfocus on puzzles
have you noticed the redacted words in the bimonthly newsletters
would you like to join me and my character in text analysis hell?
I have no particular plans with this except that I've been obsessing about guessing the blacked out words since the October event, and I thought that rather than just doing it in my plurks it might be fun for others to get their characters in on it too! Or come make fun of Johanna for being a word nerd, idk, it's all gravy
