GUIDELINES.
This is the OOC plotting post for the December 2023 event! Here you can find brief summaries of the various event prompts which may help you engage in plotting with other players. To participate, utilize the code at the bottom of the page. This is not mandatory! Feel free to plot here or in private with other players, or simply wait to be part of the event.
NOTE: This is NOT the event log! The event log will go up on the 19th of this month.
WE ARE UNCONQUERABLE.
Though the Science Discovery Center has been partially open for several weeks, residents will notice the lights coming on in previously inaccessible wings starting the evening of December 18, and will receive the customary text message to their devices on December 19. The building is a combination of a natural history museum and a children's discovery center, aimed towards cataloging knowledge pertaining to the city and its residents. Some exhibits focus on accurate information about the city's history and the biology of the people who have lived here, while other displays offer a somewhat twisted version of facts.
The Center is fairly large, and has plenty of room for smaller exhibits showcasing natural phenomena from all manner of home worlds and canons. Players are welcome to find mentions of their own species, flora and fauna, or other tidbits of information that might get your characters asking questions. It also boasts a number of interactive displays meant to teach the city's residents all about science, where residents can play games, do mind puzzles, experiment with aerodynamics, try a chemistry experiment, or even learn about the geology of the city itself. Inspiration was drawn from several sources, so please feel free to do the same! Some worthwhile mentions include:
Body Worlds
Don't Hug Me I'm Scared
Westworld
WE ARE TERRIBLE AND SPLENDID.
Residents who are more suspicious of the city's newsletters or wary of newly-opened attractions may find that they go to bed somewhere expected, only to wake up as part of a display in one of the exhibits in the "Body Works" exhibit of the Discovery Center. There is no rhyme nor reason to who gets transported, and it is left up to player choice whether or not your character gets inserted into the exhibits in this manner. In the city's view, there simply is a need to fill all of the displays in the museum, and some of those samples may be living residents rather than past ones. Characters will not have to take any special measures to get out of their diorama, but they will find that there is no exit from the exhibit itself. The hallway simply loops visitors back around to the atrium, where they can either leave through the main doors or explore the rest of the center. May as well, since they're already here—right?
BLEEDING THORNS, THE ENDLESS DILATION.
The "Natural History" exhibit can be reached by taking the hallway on the right side of the atrium at the entrance of the Center. Visitors looking for an in-depth and scientific approach to the city's history may, however, be disappointed to find that most of the displays here appear to be half finished and very rarely occupied by any helpful models. Other areas of this wing of the center focus on explaining natural phenomena, such as weather patterns, plate tectonics, and rock types and their formation; the rain cycle, going through evaporation, condensation, and precipitation; the movement of different tectonic plates and the kinds of pressure that build up to cause earthquakes; and what would happen to all of the residents of a city if gravity were suddenly turned off.
Players are also encouraged to have their characters find any kind of display that might be included in their canon as if such a display were created to show their own local customs or history. There is unfortunately not much substance here in terms of recent city history; all of the natural phenomena being described are just basic Earth science, nothing that seems particularly specific to the City itself.
THE FIRE THAT ALTERS NOTHING.
The main attraction of the Science Discovery Center is the "History of Us" exhibit, and the main feature of this exhibit is the row of framed photographs hanging on a rounded wall in the exhibition room. It forms a neat line from one end immediately to the left of the entrance from that hallway and stretches around to end at the right-hand side. A small paragraph of text at the beginning of the row is the only context given, explaining that these photographs are records of the city throughout its history and that the preview buttons beneath each frame will supply additional information.
Each photograph is accompanied by a small plaque bearing an iteration number, as well as a small silver button embedded in the wall beneath the plaque. These are the aforementioned "preview buttons," and they will indeed give residents some additional information about the iteration and the event that brought about that iteration's end.
Pressing the button beneath a photograph will instantly teleport residents into the event depicted, either just before the event starts or as it is playing out. Multiple residents can end up in the same event, either by viewing the same photo together or pressing the button some moments apart. Players are encouraged to embellish the disasters that are shown—for example, an earthquake might cause a gas leak, or a tornado might crush you with a car. The bottom line is that the only way to escape is through death, as if snapping residents out of the experience that might feel like a flashback upon their return to current reality inside the exhibit.
The table below details the full list of iterations as well as the accompanying image.

| CE-01 |
A wide shot of the city sinking into a hole that perfectly runs along the borders of the outermost buildings' foundations. |
| CE-02 |
Residents, cars, animals, and anything else not bolted down to the earth float up towards the clouds. |
| CE-03 |
Buildings lean at various angles, some broken in half, as people run from falling debris and cracks open in the earth. |
| CE-04 |
People are strewn about in front of City Hall, slumped on benches or fallen to the pavement, hands to their necks and faces showing signs of suffocation. |
| CE-05 |
A group of people wearing rubber masks break into a ritzy apartment and brandish weapons at a man wearing a silk dressing gown. |
| CE-06 |
Horizontal winds wipe rain through the city, tearing up trees and stop signs and breaking the glass of nearby buildings. |
| CE-07 |
The city is almost unrecognizably arid, heat haze rising from the streets and all plant life withered and dead as dirt swirls through the air. |
| CE-08 |
Fire engulfs the city, setting buildings ablaze and covering the water with a layer of aflame oil and debris. |
| CE-09 |
A crowd of frenzied citizens attempt to murder one another in various ways, sometimes using weapons and sometimes resorting to their bare hands. |
| CE-10 |
Dark clouds unleash torrential rain upon buildings half sunk in floodwaters that climb up the sides of buildings. |
| CE-11 |
A group of cloaked figures move through the city in formation, carrying scythes in one hand and skulls in the other. Another group of people flee before them. |
| CE-12 |
Plant life covers the city, crawling across and through skyscrapers and apartment complexes, sprouting massive carnivorous blooms and vine piercing the bodies of frenzied citizens. |
| CE-13 |
A typical scene of city life is literally frozen in a second, ice forming sideways as a blast of cold deep freezes residents as they go about their days. |
| CE-14 |
The sky is darkened by a swarm of locusts that descend upon the city and eat up all plant life. |
| CE-15 |
The air is hazy with heat as human bodies melt into the pavement beneath a sky of bright reds, oranges, and purples. |
| CE-16 |
A gray cloud darkens the sky as it moves through the city, everything dissolving in its path as nanites destroy all matter. |
| CE-17 |
A wave taller than the city's skyscrapers approaches from the waterfront. People run from it, tripping in the proceeding flood waters. |
| CE-18 |
The city streets are filled with residents who look like they're dressed for a parade, wearing party hats and carrying balloons, but they're participating in mass murder rather than a fun event. |
| CE-19 |
A large mushroom cloud blooms in the background, buildings silhouetted by the blast. |
| CE-20 |
Residents sit huddled in heaps as their flesh is eaten away in vast chunks, falling away from their bones. |
| CE-21 |
A huge volcano stands in the center of the city, lava flowing from it and melting everything in its path as buildings sink into the glowing red rivers. |
| CE-22 |
The same large volcano, this time in the background of the city, spews hot ash into the air that chokes out the sun. |
| CE-23 |
Sickly green rain falls on the city, eating through the metal and glass of buildings and creating holes in the streets and pavement. |
| CE-24 |
A flash of light takes up most of the scene, the few areas of shadow depicting people evaporating in a split second. |
| CE-25 |
The city is covered in a thick layer of ice, doors and windows frozen shut inside while plants wither under rime outside. |
| CE-26 |
From out of frame, an avalanche of snow covers city streets and buries residents. |
| CE-27 |
Three tornadoes churn through the city, sucking up trees and cars and residents. |
| CE-28 |
Bodies sit beneath dead trees, sunburned to the third degree, as the sky roils with abnormal colors. |
| CE-29 |
The city is choked with yellow-gray haze, too thick to see through, that settles as oily filth on every surface. |
| CE-30 |
Residents run through the streets covered in dark red boils, clawing at their faces and arms. |
| CE-31 |
A small black hole hovers above the grass in the park, trees and people being sucked towards it. |
| CE-32 |
From the sky, a barrage of silver marbles rains down on buildings and people like artificial hail. |
| CE-33 |
Bodies fill the streets, writhing and contorted, their skin covered in black spots. |
| CE-34 |
Massive flaming meteors rain from the sky and punch holes through buildings and streets. |
| CE-35 |
A thick haze of pollen hangs in the air as residents find various ways to kill themselves. |
| CE-36 |
From the waterfront, a hulking waterspout spins towards the city, flashes of sharks visible within its swirling waters. |
| CE-37 |
People appear to be in the middle of going about their day, frozen in motion and turned to alabaster stone. |
| CE-38 |
Lumbering zombies fill the streets, attacking residents and destroying storefronts. |
| CE-39 |
People lay dead in the streets. There is no sign of struggle, nor environmental issues, nor other inciting incidents. |
| CE-40 |
A shot of inside a train car shows the horrific scene of piles of blood, viscera, and human bones oozing off of the train seats. |
| CE-41 |
A few residents' bodies lay emaciated and crumpled in the aisle of a grocery store, its shelves completely empty. |
| CE-42 |
The city is barely recognizable beneath futuristic technological augments that cover buildings and people, yet all the lights are off and the screens are blank. |
| CE-43 |
A swarm of murder hornets flies through an alleyway chasing people and stinging them to death. |
| CE-44 |
In front of City Hall, a group of werewolves face down an opposing group of vampires, each brandishing fangs and preparing to fight one another. |
| CE-45 |
A stampede of dinosaurs, big and small, run through the city streets, trampling everything in their path and eating the fleeing residents. |
| CE-46 |
UFOs hover in the skies above the city, shooting lasers at buildings below. |
| CE-47 |
Humanoid robots march into an apartment building looking for human survivors to destroy. |

Rather than a photograph, this frame is filled by a mirror. A spotlight is perfectly aimed to highlight anyone standing in front of it. |
For any questions about specific photographs, such as what is being depicted and how a character might die in that scenario, please leave your questions below in the thread titled PHOTOGRAPH QUESTIONS.
IN THE NIGHT'S WINDOWLESS DARKNESS.
In the back of a room dedicated to how rocks are formed, there's a small annex with a sign above the entrance that reads LIVE SCIENCE LAB. While there isn't much live science actually happening here—just a lot of rock samples and microscopes—there is a staff door that opens easily with a twist of the knob.
Among a number of other biology-related samples and research stations, characters can find a row of 3D printers, some of which seem to have stopped halfway through printing out what appear to be the beginnings of… real animals. Should a character be brave enough to turn one of these machines on, they will be greeted with a catalog of basic animals and the option to begin printing.
After the 3D printers have been booted up and restored to operational, characters may print their very own animal companions! There is a limit to one animal per character, accessed by biometric scan (so no loopholes for double dipping). Though the catalog of animals is extensive, including a variety of sizes, shapes, and origins, the machines have all been locked to certain size restrictions in order to save resources. Characters may pick from this catalog, or if they are skilled in 3D modeling or similar skills, they could create an input file for an animal from their canon that may not be included as a preset option.
Players may pick one animal up to the size of a golden retriever. While some animals can be scaled down in size, they cannot be scaled up—meaning that characters could have a "mini" great dane, but not a massive pet ant. These animals cannot be fully sentient (think Pokemon), nor can they speak. They are also not protected by the city's respawning safety nets—if they die, they will stay dead, so be careful to protect your new pet. They are, for all intents and purposes, real animals that will need food, water, rest, and medical care if they're injured. Choose wisely, and make sure you're prepared to take responsibility for your furry/feathery/scaly friend.

Also, I was wondering a bit about CE-09's end. If the answer to the above question is that characters retain their immunities, would a character who is completely immune to anything that affects organic beings be affected by the cause of the madness in that one?

IC INFORMATION.
Tsunayoshi Sawada
AGE: 16
CANON: Katekyou Hitman Reborn (manga)
CANON POINT: Post-series
ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: Tsuna is the reluctant tenth generation heir of the Vongola mafia family. But if you ask him, he'd just like to live a normal life and hang out with his friends. It's just unfortunate that someone has to take over and the other candidates are kinda dicks, let's be real. But he's not eager to talk about that, even though it seems to be getting harder to hold on to his secrets.
He doesn't ask for trouble but it follows him home anyway.
USEFUL LINKS: Permissions / Inbox / Application
EVENT PLOTTING: Tsuna will probably find a small display in the Natural History section detailing the Tri-Ni-Sette, which are three sets of seven artifacts that keep the world in balance (thanks KHR wiki). It's kind of notable because Tsuna has one on him in his Vongola Ring, and well, it's also kind of hard to avoid the whole mafia involvement.
It won't be a large top level and I'll be trying to tag around a little as well.
I am not interested in the History of Us/Photograph exhibit however. Disasters just, ain't my thing.
OTHER PLANS: Tsuna does have an open log HERE with an art exhibit or general winter/holiday goings on.
CONTENT WARNING: KHR is a canon that contains violence and cartoon violence typical to what you would find in your average shonen manga.
ANYTHING ELSE: Gonna be slow over the holidays <3

IC INFORMATION.
ALHAITHAM
AGE: 26
CANON: Genshin Impact
CANON POINT: Post Kaveh's Hangout
ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: Basically a human-shaped cat: weirdly confident, always watching, only engages in what's interesting to him, never in the place you expect him to be, likes afternoon naps. A language scholar and glorified file clerk that believes in the virtues of logic and rationality. Alhaitham values the freedom to do what he wants (being a giant nerd) when he wants and makes sure his life is otherwise comfortable and simple enough to enable that. Not a people person with even worse manners and thinks being a weirdo is a plus point. Frankly embarrassing about his boyfriend. This is unfortunately now topical to the event.
USEFUL LINKS: Permissions / Inbox / Application
EVENT PLOTTING: I'll be taking this event fairly easy but Alhaitham will be at the exhibit and get stuck in maybe 1-2 photographs before he realizes hanging around when people are pressing buttons is Bad News. Since he's seen Robby's clue he'll recognize that these are dissolutions of failed experiments and thus take this as a warning and a threat.
OTHERWISE he'll stick around the safer canon-based exhibitions and give lectures on Kaveh's projects on display (namely the Palace of Alcazarzaray) because he knows a lot about them. I'm also considering there being a display on that time he helped overthrow the government (with Cyno and Tighnari here).
OTHER PLANS:
Art exhibit: Alhaitham hasn't really gone to this yet BUT he obviously still has an exhibit there like anyone else and I'm down for coordinating anything anyone might see either with or without his presence. This also includes that time he helped overthrow the government and ran the county for a few months, and otherwise his very normal past of being raised by his grandma and orphaned young, meeting Kaveh at school, breaking up with Kaveh as school, getting a job as a file clerk, meeting Kaveh again and having him move into his house, that one time some dude had a personal vendetta and tried to use his artificial human hivemind to kill him...
Otherwise people can catch him at or after the plot clue meetings as he's very clearly invested in going through this information, he'll be working on building a flying drone with Kaveh to try (and fail) to see past the fog border, and generally ramping up efforts to try and break the experiment in order to break out of the experiment.
His daily routine that gets him out of the house also includes working out at a gym and going around Kaveh's studio if you need other ways to find him.
CONTENT WARNING: Nothing beyond what will be in the event itself!

Netzach
AGE: early thirties or ??? depending
CANON: Library of Ruina
CANON POINT: after the realization for the Floor of Art, all Star of the City receptions completed
ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: Netzach, back home, was a librarian! Which is a very normal thing that involves working with books which used to be people (and also, you know. Killing people.) He didn't want it, he hates doing his job because it involves murder, and he would much rather slack off to take a nap or hide somewhere and drink. He used to have more of a problem with drugs and alcohol than he does now, but it's still liable to come up with him, so definitely let me know if you'd prefer not to interact/to keep it to a minimum. Usually he just comes off as lazy and probably kind of a weirdo, and there's a good chance you're going to find him sleeping somewhere he shouldn't be unconscious.
At home he's the Patron Librarian of the Floor of Art, and has been getting into art here more! He no longer works at the Bookstore (though he still visits) and has taken up working at Kaveh's studio as his assistant in order to try out something more creative. He's also learning to care a bit more about his appearance... slowly... mostly through other people doing it for him, but you know, it's progress. He helped create the lighting for December's prom!
USEFUL LINKS: Permissions & Opt-Out / Inbox / Application
EVENT PLOTTING: do you want an animal from home but have no creative inclinations? can you at least describe it? NETZACH AND KAVEH HAVE YOU COVERED. kaveh will do the actual 3D modeling, and netzach will be providing him concept art to work from based off of descriptions of the animal in question! he'll do his best to get the details of your creature right/to correct and re-draw it as necessary, so that kaveh can make an accurate model to print. so if you trust these nerds with the concept and you want help, they will be here to assist.
he'll be checking out all the exhibits and i might find some things from his home to write into one for a tl-- i'm also down to check out the photographs! come die with me.
OTHER PLANS: i'm going to get a december log for him up soon i swear. he'll have an art exhibit so it'll be a good opportunity if you want to find out about his backstory! netzach used to be a different person with a different name, and considers that identity separate from his own-- if you wanna learn about that, this is a great time.
CONTENT WARNING: for netzach: addiction, drugs and alcohol, and previous experimentation may come up! his world is also not a very kind one, and in talking about it there might be violence, gore, cannibalism, death, and similar themes; if discussing his backstory there may be themes of suicide.
ANYTHING ELSE: like i mentioned above, i'm a little slow right now! but i should be around for things regardless.
robby keene / cobra kai
NAME: Ree
CONTACT: PM,
IC INFORMATION.
ROBBY KEENE
AGE: 17
CANON + POINT: Cobra Kai, midway season 5
ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: Young adult with a decent temperament for the most part, but still young and willing to get huffy, just push the right buttons to get him going. He's not overly outgoing, but still knows to be social and ultimately wants to be a good person who can help others despite trying to figure out his own self-worth. He's a normal American teen who thought his life was over at 17 because of karate!!!! he is trying his best.
USEFUL LINKS: Permissions / Inbox
EVENT PLOTTING: Robby will be showing up in the Body Works display in his jammies, which are unfortunately boring (cotton trousers and tank top) but he'll still be without shoes and socks. :( He'll also be hesitant about the photographs given the reports deciphering giving an indication that something was up with one of the exhibitions, but I miight get him involved in 1-2?? 47 and...idk we will see. But also I am down for talking about the exhibits with other characters like hey. Hey this is messed up!!!
otherwise he is from your modern day america and so showcasing his planet isn't that interesting unless anyone would like to do something with the TDM prompt showcasing his life, which could touch upon themes of parental negligence, alcoholicism+drug use (by parents), thieving+some light drug dealing, a person knocked over a second storey rail and time spent in juvenile detention.
but also skateboarding, karate, bonsais, and inner balance. :) and his mom. whatever a person might like to get to know about robby!
OTHER PLANS: always happy to do plot talk thangs if characters ever want to chat things.
CONTENT WARNING: warnings should only apply if people want to get involved in the robby-specific exhibit! but nothing else should come up.

EDDIE MUNSON
AGE: 20 as of yesterday (12/17 - he doesn't have a canon birthday so I decided for him)
CANON: Stranger Things
CANON POINT: S4Ep09 "The Piggyback" after the fight with the demobats when Dustin comes upon him in the aftermath.
.
ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: A metalhead straight out of the '80's who also happens to be a gigantic nerd. He looks scary, but he's a big ol' sweetheart deep down.
USEFUL LINKS: Permissions / Inbox / Application
EVENT PLOTTING: So far, I'm most interested in the photographs, but in order to get him to the exhibit in the first place, he's going to end up as part of the Body Works exhibit since I don't know that he would voluntarily visit after the Halloween event.
I'd be happy to use RNG for which photographs Eddie experiences with your character, or we can plan on specific ones if any of them catch your eye. I took a brief look at the list and nothing seems particularly off limits in terms of CW's I'm not interested in writing.
Of course he's going to print himself an animal at the end. I have a vision and that vision is pet parents if anyone wants to raise a possibly feral animal with this equally feral animal.
OTHER PLANS: I never got to play around with the art exhibit for Eddie, but if anyone wants to experience the saddest backstory, I would be happy to throw up a log for that! Otherwise, he's going to be hanging around the Seven Hell Host Club a lot, as well as going scavenging/shopping for his secret santa.
CONTENT WARNING: Canon-typical violence, 80's typical homophobia (sometimes self-deprecating, sometimes referring to past experiences), gore (see: the spoiler-ed canon point).

Loki Odinson
AGE: 1000+
CANON: MCU
CANON POINT: Beginning of Infinity War
ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: Loki is a talented mage, mostly dealing with illusions and conjuration, but he has some abilities to do things like hypnosis. In addition, he is actually a frost giant and has some natural abilities in creating ice. Of course, all of this has been nerfed by the city so he’s a tame Norse God currently. He’s the God of Mischief and would like to play pranks on anyone, and can be rather mean if in a bad mood. If he likes you though, he can be quite loyal.
USEFUL LINKS: Permissions / Inbox / Application
EVENT PLOTTING:
Given what he’s learned recently about the City (thanks to Jo and Robby), Loki is interested in checking out the museum. He doesn’t trust it at all, but he knows by now that not going isn’t really the answer and he’ll likely end up being there eventually anyway. He’ll be more than happy to help someone out of their display if needed, but otherwise he’ll be looking for more information.
As for the photos, he will definitely be involved there. His first trip to a picture will likely be accidental in that he won’t know what pushing the button does, but after that time he will purposely go into other disasters hoping he can find a way to stop what might be the next one.
You best believe Loki is getting himself a cat. He’s always wanted one and this is his chance.
OTHER PLANS:
I don’t have any other plans, but please feel free to hit me up if you have anything you might need or want Loki for. I’m always game.
CONTENT WARNING:
He’s been rather tame for the most part, but interacting with Loki could result in your character finding out about his villainous past, which could be triggering.

midnight | arknights
NAME: Kanna
CONTACT: PM! i do have a plurk now, which is available on request, but i will be using it strictly in cases where dreamwidth breaks down, so please keep that in mind!
ABOUT YOU: i am, in fact, still kanna. my joints and ligaments are pretty inflexible but i can do a mean toe touch.
IC INFORMATION.
MIDNIGHT
AGE: 37-ish (probably already 38-ish, but i'm just going to make him 38 in may)
CANON: Arknights
CANON POINT: ??? Sometime around the year 1100 in the common era of Terra. If you know AK canon, you will realize this means nothing, even though I am trying my best.
ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: I don't know how much longer I can get away with describing him as just a guy, but he truly is just kind of a guy. He's not a big player in AK canon, he doesn't have any relevance to any main plots (yet), and he really is there just to provide comic relief. That... being... said... there is a lot happening in Arknights, and he isn't immune to how grim Terra can be! He's a very good, normal person from a bleak post-apocalyptic world, and he's conscious of that. But on first pass, he's really just a dude who likes a good drink, flirting with pretty people, and making sure other people have a great time, and he likes making sure 99% of the people he meets think of him that way.
USEFUL LINKS: Permissions / Inbox / Application / Content/Trigger Warnings
EVENT PLOTTING: Unless we are already in talks to thread for this plot, I think I may actually skip it :( Sorry, it's the holidays, I want to keep things light. Please PM me if you have a specific idea!
OTHER PLANS: Midnight's throwing a New Years Eve party for Seventh Hell's grand opening! In light of the joys of the 3D printer, pets will be allowed. He may throw together a last minute pet daycare in one of the spare backroom so people can let their new pets get socialized.
Other than that, in light of the fact that there will already be drinks and live entertainment (courtesy of Eddie Munson — thanks kid — and possibly Onni if he's down for it), the only concern there will be left will be activities. The main event are the hosts and hostesses coming around and socializing and exploration of the party rooms, but there will be a raffle (rules and prize list will go up with the event post) and some other party games for the characters to play. Again, most of the characters will be coming off the event (and many of us will be doing stuff for the holidays), so I'm planning for this to be a fairly low key affair.
CONTENT WARNING: See the link above, but alcohol use is a given with Midnight! He does have fairly disordered thinking due to trust and family issues, but I will try to keep everything else to a minimum. He is a fairly aggressive flirt, and he sometimes does not take social cues immediately, so please use his opt-out options if you need him to stay professional around your character. Thank you!
ANYTHING ELSE: i will be spending most of the end of december with family so my tags... might be slow again... i'll speed up in january i swear 🤧 thanks again...

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: Carefree man from an ancient, magical society who's having fun trying to learn as much about other people and other cultures as possible while doing his best to ignore the looming Final Days in the distance
USEFUL LINKS: Permissions / Inbox / Application
EVENT PLOTTING: While I haven't quite decided what (if anything) to go with for the buttons and the pictures, I'm happy to have Hyth come as a ride along if anyone wants, or else to help others decompress after coming out of them. He probably won't be doing any button pushing himself, since he doesn't trust the exhibits
I'm definitely thinking of having there be an Amaurot Exhibit, at least and am absolutely up for input from fellow Ancient players as to what to put in it (and also whether or not to have it be in past tense, present-tense, or underwater-tense). The only thing I really, really want is for there to be a model of one of a generic Amaurotine at their actual height (aka: between like 18-22 ft). Mostly for popcorning purposes, but it's good for threading too!
And for the last thing, debating getting him his very own Adventurous Ambystoma (aka: a flying axolotl) from the creature printer. He is going to be VERY interested in that btw.
OTHER PLANS: Don't have anything down for certain at the moment, but I'm up for anything else you'd like to do outside the event! I'm up for all kinds of plotting.
CONTENT WARNING: I can't think of anything immediately.

ABOUT YOU: Hi! I exist :D I play Genshin Impact and FFXIV in most of my spare time. The other half is kind of spent zoning out tbh. Also, I draw! Tagging time is generally late evening EST.
IC INFORMATION.
Wanderer
AGE: 400+
CANON: Genshin Impact
CANON POINT: Post Sumeru patches, including all limited time events up to Patch 4.0.
ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: This is the Wanderer, a (not-actually) nameless drifter who has a bit of an attitude, but is quite easy to get along with if you ignore literally everything he says. He's a big tsundere, cares quite a bit, and wants to be helpful to people. So long as you're friendly, he will generally respond positively! (Again, ignore his rude mouth.) He's also a divine puppet, not a human, but he doesn't usually advertise that.
USEFUL LINKS: Permissions / Inbox
EVENT PLOTTING:
WELL. The Wanderer will be showing up as part of an exhibit for Automatons of Teyvat, with detailed information about him being a mechanical puppet created by a god, among other things. He'll be unconscious and hung up by wires like a puppet, so that'll be fun for him when he wakes up 8)
As for the photos, the Wanderer is not afraid of pain or death, so he will be lingering by the photos, either to warn people off clicking buttons or to accidentally join people in other photographs! He will enter several photos on his own as well (04, 08, and 41) but the main one is CE-38 (the zombie apocalypse), because he intends on treating it like an endless combat mode and fight until he's taken down. People are free to join him if they want to let off some steam by fighting!
As for pets, he will accidentally activate one of the printers and obtain an adorable fat borb!
OTHER PLANS: I have an open log with a few prompts, but mainly for the art exhibit if there's still interest in that! Other than that, he's learning how to garden and has been unwillingly signed up for Secret Santa...
CONTENT WARNING: For this event, there's a good chance of suicidal ideation and self-harm coming up for this guy. Other than that, the appropriate warnings for all the photo apocalypses.
ANYTHING ELSE:
In order: His dead aunt, his mom, and his sister. Yes, they all look the same.

but i would be happy to plop a comment either on Wanderer's event toplevel or poking around his open log...!

KIM KITSURAGI
AGE: 43
CANON: Disco Elysium
CANON POINT: Directly post-Tribunal.
ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: Kim Kitsuragi is a tightly wound police officer from the city of Revachol, an Eastern-European inspired noir city with a storied and complicated past. He does his very best to appear unemotional, upright, and very, very normal, but he hides a wild streak and deep wells of nerdy passion about his interests (namely fast cars, loud music, and a fondness for science-fiction). He tends to be closed off and historically has a difficult time making emotional connections due to his history as an Seolite (in-universe asian) gay man in a city unkind to both of these things. He's a caring man underneath it all, however, and will do his best to be of assistance when he can be.
USEFUL LINKS: All on his journal!
EVENT PLOTTING: Kim is going to be looking at the 3D printed animals as a potential source of sustenance, I'm so sorry everyone LOL. But he's going to try for a chicken for eggs! This may go into next month when he wants to rally the community to figure out the food supply issue.
I'm going to be having him on display as well, and he'll be very cross at being trapped in the exhibit in his pajamas and deeply thankful he doesn't sleep in the nude. For the exhibits on characters' worlds, I'd like for there to be an exhibit on the Pale, the apocalyptic natural disaster that has been slowly expanding throughout Kim's world.
I'm jazzed about the idea of playing around in the pictures as well! If you'd like your character and Kim to have a fun dying bonding experience, I'm totally down. I think I'm most interested in natural disasters and interpersonal violence, but am honestly down for anything!
OTHER PLANS: As stated above, if you'd like to join Kim in brainstorming collecting resources or maybe just enjoying some fun winter-flavoured activities, I'd be delighted to do that too!
CONTENT WARNING: Disco Elysium as a canon deals with some heavy material that I won't bring up unless it fits well into the thread, and can always be opted out of. These include a post-war background, racism, homophobia, and violence.

Johanna Constantine | The Sandman
NAME: Adiva, she/her!
CONTACT:
ABOUT YOU: Hello! I am a PNW nerd who spends her time writing and organizing people for work, writing and organizing people for advocacy, and now writing about organizing people in her RP hobby. fuck. I'm starting to see a problem. I've had Sandman/Hellblazer brain rot for over a year now and would like to talk to you about why I hate Peter Milligan.
I like to tag a lot and I work from home so I'm often able to tag during the day! My time zone is PST, however, it'll be Alaska time for the next couple of weeks.
IC INFORMATION.
Johanna Constantine
AGE: 34
CANON: Netflix's The Sandman with a lot of Hellblazer comics influence.
CANON POINT: Post-1.03, "Dream A Little Dream of Me."
ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: A dirtbag occultist with commitment issues, currently in the midst of an existential spiral because she spent the week immediately prior to the event getting deep into investigating the redacted documents AND Junpei and Robby's unredacted documents, and now she's Not Handling It Great. Simultaneously a better and a worse person than she would like you to believe!
USEFUL LINKS: Permissions / Inbox / Application
EVENT PLOTTING: So, as mentioned, Johanna decided to start digging into the mysterious redacted documents just in time for Robby and Junpei's story clues to drop, and just in advance of the event! Due to the fact that the Instrumental Analysis on this month's event mentioned "compulsion" procedures, the fact that compulsion was clearly at play during the Halloween event, and the fact that the researchers are evidently perfectly willing to flush iterations if they don't see enough community-oriented behaviors, Johanna is actively attempting to engage with the science center and will be suggesting people give community-oriented answers to the post-experiment survey regardless of their actual feelings.
So, if you want to experience an apocalypse, you can certainly have Johanna come with you! She will absolutely be investigating CE-01 (sinkhole), CE-02 (gravity turned off), and CE-47 (robot apocalypse). CE-05 (the Purge???), CE-11 (cultists???), CE-36 (SHARKNADO), and CE-44 (vamps vs wolves) are of potential interest! I'm a hard pass on anything that involves disease/body horror, nuclear destruction, or starvation.
OTHER PLANS: Johanna will probably go to the Seventh Hell Host Club opening, but given that she will have spent some amount of time actively exposing herself to The Horrors before NYE, she may be something of a wet blanket there. 🙃
I also must beg a certain amount of amnesty from everyone who's been theorizing/crossword puzzle solving with Johanna in her and Junpei's posts! My brain is somewhat wrung out on theorizing and juggling timelines and information. ._. lmk if you want anything specific from any of those threads, though, and let's see if we can make it happen!
OH ALSO her iconic white trench coat got ruined during the werewolf attack and she is secretly taking this very hard but has not said that to anyone yet. But anyone who knows her can notice that she's wearing a tan trench coat these days.
CONTENT WARNING: Johanna comes from a horror canon and this event is sure lending itself to that! Her backstory also comes with warnings for: an emotionally and physically abusive parent; death of a child; forced institutionalization; alcohol use.

NAME: peach
CONTACT: PM, happy to give plurk as well if easier!
ABOUT YOU: hello, i'm peach! i work in localization for a large media company. timezone is pst/gmt-8, usually tag in the evenings and catch up on weekends. i like meaty tags with details and fun introspection, and love to write! i like horror, video games, animanga, alice in wonderland, music, and coffee. some fandoms i'm into are final fantasy, genshin impact, fire emblem: three houses, demon slayer, jujutsu kaisen, my hero academia, and kingdom hearts.
i'll separate this by characters down below - i'm always happy to write closed starters, if we come up with something in particular, or happy to tag into others' top levels, if you'd just like to agree to do a thing and then hit me with a link once the event drops. i'm happy to make up creepy things together to make threads a little spookier, or keep things more lighthearted! if you don't have an idea and none of the below speaks to you, i'm absolutely down to work out some way for our characters to meet and build cr together!
aerith gainsborough — final fantasy vii remake
AERITH GAINSBOROUGH
AGE: 22
CANON: final fantasy vii remake
CANON POINT: post-intergrade ending, where the party is headed to kalm
ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: a gremlin with a heart of gold...! aerith is the only living descendent of the cetra, an ancient race with powerful magical abilities, and has been pursued by the shinra electric power company throughout her life in the hopes that she could lead them to the promised land of lots-of-mako. she's upbeat, kind, enthusiastic, and always willing to help out others, even without any personal motive or gain. she can be a bit strange, loves to tease and flirt, but really, that's all just part of her seeming charm.
USEFUL LINKS: Permissions / Inbox / Application
EVENT PLOTTING:
• i would love for her to experience some sort of uncomfortable dhmis-esque exhibits, or just things that will make her really uncomfortable...
• i would also love for her to get caught up in her own exhibit, especially if it's labeled to be about the cetra, as it would help force her to have to talk about it a little.
• she would spend a lot of time looking at all the natural history events, hoping not to see, you know, meteor or anything. but she'd be really curious to explore everything and interact where she could.
• i am completely down to experience almost every type of photograph listed here, and would love to write out some meaty disgusting death threads.
OTHER PLANS: aerith posted recently about gardening and getting a greenhouse/garden set up for growing food, etc so i'm happy to also play off of that and move it forward.
CONTENT WARNING: ffvii deals with death, human experimentation, eco-terrorism, kidnapping, general violence, imprisonment, etc. for me, i don't need any content warnings for anything.

ABOUT YOU: I should be around over the holidays and less pulverized, since rl seems to be getting quieter now. I'll continue to tag existing threads and would like to do more around the prom and plot clue logs.
IC INFORMATION.
Yesod
AGE: No official exact age due to weird canon circumstances, but he's presumably the equivalent of 25+.
CANON: Library of Ruina
CANON POINT: At the end of Star of the City receptions.
ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: Most recently, Yesod was the Patron Librarian of the Floor of Technological Sciences in Angela's Library, where he received a new hairstyle and an actual body again, rather than being a walking metal box... with wrappings... after things happened and his former human self died. Compared to the past, he's gotten better at balancing the pursuit of rationality and allowing himself to have emotions. He's still a science nerd who likes being organized in various ways, though.
Here, Yesod continues to work at The Bookstore and contributes to the Welcome Diner's welcoming efforts by trying to be an up-to-date human-shaped information kiosk.
USEFUL LINKS: Permissions / Inbox / Application
EVENT PLOTTING: Yesod will wake up on display in purple pajamas... Once he's out of his diorama, he'll take a look around, though he'll be on his guard because of the experiment reports and plot clue discussions. He'd prefer to go observe the photograph horrors in case there's anything to discover that way without watching other people die, but if anyone wants to die with him, I'm open to it.
OTHER PLANS: I'd be interested in doing something with the personal art exhibit, if anyone wants to see things there, whether handwaved or played out. Some options are pixels of despair and the research team (+ the others not shown in this image) from Yesod's first life. Somewhat familiar faces among these might be Netzach's, Gebura's, and Chesed's first incarnations, as well as Yesod's own.
In general, Yesod is around to examine and discuss any new setting information in particular, especially with these more recent pieces becoming available.
CONTENT WARNING: While there is a lot of death in his canon, as well as human experimentation, and Yesod's backstory includes past hallucinations, past self-harm references (probably closer to dermatillomania), and his own death, these aren't things that normally come up, and they aren't issues that currently affect him / nothing is visible now. If anything potentially uncomfortable is mentioned because it becomes relevant in a scene, I try to keep it vague and use content warnings, as well as check others' permissions first.
ANYTHING ELSE: I was conveniently sent this yesterday...
