OOC EVENT PLOTTING: The Nights Were Humid, Still. (September 2023)
OOC EVENT PLOTTING: SEPTEMBER 2023 | ||||||
GUIDELINES. This is the OOC plotting post for the September 2023 event! Here you can find brief summaries of the various event prompts which may help you engage in plotting with other players. To participate, utilize the code at the bottom of the page. This is not mandatory! Feel free to plot here or in private with other players, or simply wait to be part of the event.WE WERE DREAMING, WAITING FOR NIGHT. The new park is a permanent location that is open to residents 24/7 as there are no fences nor gates. It's larger than the one near City Hall and has more potential for exploring as well as different features from its cousin. For those that are familiar, it will evoke thoughts of New York's Central Park with its mixture of open areas contrasting with thick woods. Paved walkways, freshwater ponds, picnic areas, and a couple of playgrounds can all be found throughout the park. Along with these, residents may stumble upon other natural and man-made areas such as rocky outcrops, unmarked trails, bicycle paths, fountains, and other things typically found in large urban parks—minus the wildlife. It can be a romantic setting as easily as it can be a horrific one depending on the time of day as well as the company that you keep.THEN THE HEAT BROKE, THE NIGHT WAS CLEAR. Located in the southern half of the large park is a small fun fair that will open to the public the evening of September 19 with operating hours from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM City time. Before opening, none of the rides or games will be operational; however, there will be fliers advertising its opening all around the city on billboards and telephone poles, and adventurous characters are able to hop the fence and explore if they so desire. However, they will not be able to turn on any of the rides or games, and will not be able to break into the rides or booths under any circumstances.IT SEEMED AN HONOR TO HAVE A MOUTH. As quintessential as the rides, no fun fair is complete without rigged games or greasy food. Some of the notable mentions are a shooting gallery, dart throwing, and the ubiquitous ring toss. You may think that it's easier to cheat at a game when there are no attendants telling you made-up rules, but you'll still find it difficult to win yourself one of the many prizes hanging from the ceilings. There's a plethora of food to enjoy with all the classics: corn dogs, fries, funnel cake, pizza, shaved ice, and fried junk food.CODES.

NAME: Bella
CONTACT:
ABOUT YOU: Hi!! I'm addicted to mobage and I've been playing A Lot of Honkai Star Rail and Genshin Impact lately. Also a lot of Rune Factory 3 Special since that just came out recently in english... I'm EST and my tagging pace kind of varies depending on how tiring my work day is, but if you ask me to focus on any threads I'll make sure to prioritize those.
kromer
AGE: (wiggles hand) Adult
CANON: Limbus Company
CANON POINT: Canto III, specifically in the middle of her boss fight before she turns into a total abomination due to the Golden Bough's influence.
ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: Kromer's a high-ranking official in N.Corporation, aka Nagel und Hammer, who leads a section referred to as Inquisitors. They're zealots who worship the flesh and hate metal replacements, and this probably extends to machines that act like humans, too. They consider it filthy and a mockery! Fun stuff. However, they're more or less the minority in the Wing at least when it comes to fervor, so it isn't like everyone there thinks that way... so Kromer, too, is capable of dialing it back and acting like a reasonable person. Not every polite person is a lunatic, but there are more polite lunatics than you think, etc.
USEFUL LINKS: Permissions / Inbox / Application / Opt-Out
EVENT PLOTTING: Kromer's not exactly the type to go to the fair, but she'll probably hear her hallway-mates making a fuss and go beyond just "seeing what's new". I'll take anything anyone wants to do though!!! I won't be topleveling on the event, so watch out for tags from me... or plan something out, whichever!
OTHER PLANS: Kromer has a catch-all! If there's anything specific you want to do, let me know and I can write up a starter for you.
CONTENT WARNING: She has her opt-out which has a fun list of things that can show up in Project Moon games, and it has an extra section for her specifically because she's just that special.
angela
AGE: (wiggles hand) It's Complicated, but adult.
CANON: Library of Ruina
CANON POINT: After killing Roland and the other librarians in her alternate bad end, achieved by not finishing all of her realizations; the only one she's missing is Hokma's floor.
ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: Angela is the director and head librarian of... well, The Library! A massive structure in the City, it houses millions of books and tons of knowledge, from the mundane to things that would normally either get you killed by a corporation or memory wiped. She created it so that she could learn about the outside world and find people who'd been touched by the Light so that she could then take that Light and achieve her goals: becoming human and living freely, and spitting in her creator's face. She's accomplished at least one of these.
USEFUL LINKS: Permissions / Inbox / Application / Opt-out
EVENT PLOTTING: And in exact opposite of Kromer, Angela will be trying anything and everything! She's always wanted to go to a carnival (that isn't the 8'o'Clock Carnival back in her City), so she'll be voraciously trying everything. I'm interested in her going through the Tunnel of Love in particular because I think it's funny, but she's open for literally anything and everything. But also like with Kromer, I won't be topleveling for this event, so I'll mainly be tagging out and/or if you plan something with me that's where I'll be.
OTHER PLANS: She has a bookstore now, named The Bookstore! Come visit. She also has a catch-all this month—let me know if you want a starter and I can write you one, and she's has a toplevel at the Art Club meeting and the Story Club meeting.
CONTENT WARNING: She also similarly has an opt-out because Project Moon, but she's more inclined to bringing up Terrible Shit that's happened in her narration... though this event probably won't trigger that.

dan heng would love to visit the bookstore, that's likely literally the only place he'll like in this city once he gets past the whole ABJECT PARANOIA phase of things. it helps that (if we want to keep the tdm thread!!) that he knows angela a little.
